On Saturday 10th October 2015, competitors hit the streets in Melbourne’s ultimate urban adventure race. Racing to raise funds to support the Royal Children’s Hospital Foundation (RCHF), competitors were faced with various challenges including skate boarding, bouldering, life drawing, yoga, juggling, driving a F1 simulator, learning Auslan, playing darts at i Darts and much much more. Congratulations to the following teams for winning in their respective categories:
Competitive – Alex and Gemma
Social – Poirot and Holmes
Over $21,000 was raised for the RCHF!
The funds raised will be used for the Music Therapy Program for the Neurosciences and Rehabilitation Unit. The Music Therapy Department at the Royal Children’s Hospital consists of a team of registered music therapists (Australian Music Therapy Association), who provide clinical music therapy services to inpatients with a range of medical conditions. The aim of music therapy is to use the experience of music to aid the patient in attaining, maintaining, or regaining optimum levels of functioning or adaptation in all areas of health and development.
A big thanks to all fundraisers, with a special mention to Team NaRa who were the top fundraisers. Thank you to everyone once again for making this year’s event another huge success.
